Missouri AG Demands DOJ Investigation Into Biden Autopen Scandal: Who Was Really Running the White House?

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey has formally requested that the Department of Justice investigate whether White House staffers exploited President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline to push radical policies without his direct approval.

Bailey’s call for an investigation follows growing concerns that Biden’s mental state may have allowed unelected officials to wield executive authority, effectively signing orders in his name without his full awareness.

“I am demanding the DOJ investigate whether President Biden’s cognitive decline allowed unelected staff to push through radical policy without his knowing approval,” Bailey announced.

“If in fact Biden’s staffers were exploiting his mental decline, those orders are null and void.”

The Biden Autopen Scandal

At the heart of the controversy is the widespread use of an autopen to sign key executive orders—including commutations and pardons—without Biden’s physical involvement.

According to The Oversight Project, nearly every presidential signature found on executive orders in recent years was identical, pointing to repeated use of an autopen—an automated device that mechanically reproduces a signature.

The only document that bore a different signature? Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race.

This revelation has fueled concerns that top White House staff may have been making policy decisions behind closed doors while using Biden’s autopen signature as a rubber stamp.

Pardons Signed While Biden Was on Vacation

One of the most glaring examples occurred on December 30, 2022, when six criminals were pardoned using Biden’s autopen—while the president was vacationing in St. Croix, playing golf.

The key question remains: Who authorized these actions? Who was truly in charge?

Bailey Cites Biden’s Mental Decline

Bailey’s request comes amid widespread concerns about Biden’s ability to govern, particularly in light of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report, which described the president as an “elderly man with a poor memory” who was unable to recall key dates—including when he served as vice president or when his son Beau died.

The Missouri AG cited this report as further evidence that Biden may not have been fully aware of the executive orders issued in his name.

“Staffers and the Vice President cannot constitutionally evade accountability by laundering far-left orders through a man who does not know what he is signing,” Bailey argued.

“If in fact this has been occurring, then all those orders are void.”

Who Was Really Running the White House?

Bailey’s demand for a DOJ investigation raises a larger constitutional crisis:

  • Did unelected officials make major policy decisions under Biden’s name?
  • Who was actually in control of the executive branch?
  • Should executive actions taken under Biden’s questionable cognitive state be revoked?

With House Republicans already investigating Biden’s use of the autopen, the Autopen Scandal is quickly escalating into a full-blown crisis—one that could lead to serious legal challenges against key executive decisions made during Biden’s tenure.

Bailey’s request is only the beginning. If proven true, this could mark one of the biggest presidential scandals in modern history—not just about a president’s fitness for office, but about who was actually making the decisions while Biden occupied the White House.
