No one has ever accused the attacks on President Trump of being original, but on Tuesday, 22 Democratic senators—led by some of the biggest names in Congress—were caught practically copy-pasting each other’s talking points.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump is set to deliver the first major address of his second term before Congress—a speech the administration is billing as must-see TV.
Titled “The Renewal of the American Dream,” the address will be divided into four key sections, according to Fox News: a recap of Trump’s second-term achievements at home and abroad, an update on the economy, a renewed push for congressional approval of additional border security funding, and his vision for advancing global peace.
But before Trump even took the stage, Senate Democrats—including Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and Cory Booker (D-NJ)—attempted a preemptive rebuttal that quickly backfired.
In a video that has drawn widespread ridicule, the three lawmakers appear to be reading from nearly identical scripts, repeating the same phrases with only slight variations. The clip opens with Trump promising to lower prices starting on Day One before abruptly cutting to the Democratic senators launching into their attack.
“That sh*t ain’t true!” they all declare in near unison. “Since Day One of Donald Trump’s presidency, prices haven’t gone down—they’ve gone up!”
They go on to claim Trump has pardoned “violent criminals” from January 6 who allegedly assaulted police officers, with Schumer adding, “What a f***ing disgrace.”
They then take a swipe at Elon Musk, accusing Trump of allowing the billionaire to “take a chainsaw to government programs” while also—somehow—giving him more access to those same programs.
The trio continues their scripted outrage, blaming the Trump administration for cutting government services, laying off “essential” workers, and worsening inflation. They cite rising grocery and housing costs while parroting each other with minimal wording changes.
“Why are they doing this?” they dramatically ask. “So they can fund tax breaks for billionaires.”
Their closing line? “The Republican plan is simple: families lose while billionaires win. And that is the truth.”
Musk himself couldn’t help but weigh in on the embarrassing display. Taking to X, he posted a laughing emoji alongside the comment:
“Can’t someone be bothered to write three speeches? This is just lazy.”
Indeed, if the Democrats’ goal was to challenge Trump’s messaging, recycling each other’s lines in a robotic, scripted attack was probably not the best way to do it.
