Trump Pauses All Military Aid to Ukraine

President Trump has halted all military aid to Ukraine following comments from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky suggesting that the conflict with Russia could drag on indefinitely, Bloomberg reported.

The decision effectively suspends all ongoing military assistance, including shipments already en route to Ukraine.

Earlier on Monday, Trump expressed frustration with Zelensky’s reluctance to engage in meaningful peace talks with Russia. Reports indicate that the former president has grown increasingly impatient with Zelensky’s unwillingness to negotiate a resolution to the war.
Reacting to Zelensky’s assertion that an end to the war remains “very, very far away,” Trump took to Truth Social, stating:

“This is the worst statement Zelenskyy could have made, and America won’t tolerate it much longer! As I’ve said before, this guy doesn’t want peace as long as he has America’s backing. Meanwhile, European leaders have already admitted they can’t handle this without the U.S. – not exactly the strongest position to take against Russia. What are they thinking?”

By Monday evening, reports confirmed that Trump, having reached his limit, had officially halted all military assistance—including weapons shipments already in transit.
Zelensky’s recent visit to the White House did not appear to be about securing peace but rather about securing more U.S. funding for the war effort. His stance following the meeting remained defiant, as evidenced by his continued demands on social media.

Despite already receiving hundreds of billions in American aid, Zelensky took to X to press for even greater U.S. support.

“We’ve been fighting for three years, and the Ukrainian people need assurance that America is on our side,” he stated. “I want the U.S. to take an even stronger stance in our favor.”

Attempting to soften his message, Zelensky also expressed gratitude to the U.S. for its ongoing support over the past three years. However, his insistence on continued aid underscores the growing tensions between Washington and Kyiv.
